RULES
1. Our first and most important rule at GET UP N DANCE is that our students have fun and are ALL equally able to express themselves through dance in a positive environment.
As a result we require all of our students over the age of 8, our teachers, and our assistants read and sign our CODE OF CONDUCT policy (see a copy of this policy in the handouts section). This policy outlines what behavior is acceptable and what is unacceptable.
Unlike other studios, all of which have rules, we expect our staff and students to comply with these rules at all times. Any issues that arise will be addressed promptly and professionally. If you have an issue please bring it to our attention immediately. We will always be available in person at the studio, by phone at 860-584-2833 or by email at getupndance2009@gmail.com.
2. Show up for class on time. Because we offer 40 minute classes in some cases our start and end times are not always on the hour or the 1/2 hour. Please make sure you know your class times and are at the studio 5 minutes before start time. It is disruptive to the class when students show up late and the instructor will not always have the time to review with the student what they missed during the regular class time.
3. Parents with students younger then 13 years old must come in to the studio to pick up their student. No student will be allowed outside to wait for their parents. Please make your child is aware of this rule.
4. Cell phones are only allowed in the reception area or student lounge.
5. Dress Code: Hair is required to be pulled back and not in your child's face. Leotards, dance shorts and leggings are acceptable dancewear. No baggy pants, or Jeans! Please note that some classes may require specific dancewear, shoes and hair requirements.
SAFETY
YOUR CHILD"S SAFETY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US, AS A RESULT WE HAVE A FEW BASIC RULES!
1. Students are NOT allowed to wait outside after class for their ride home.
2. All parents must come into the studio to pick up their children unless we are told that it is ok for them to leave on their own. If they leave on their own, they must wait inside until they know their ride has arrived.
3.If there is someone that should not be picking up your child, you must let us know.
4. There may be times, primarily later at night, that we may lock the front door. If your arrive at the studio and the door is locked, please knock at the front door and someone will let you in.
5. The parking lot, will be very busy at pick-up and drop-off times. PLEASE use Caution!
